1. When should I refill my cartridge?

Refilling should be done as soon as the ink runs low. It is even better if you refill earlier. Printing with an empty cartridge can cause damage to your cartridge's printhead.

2. What does my computer show a "low ink" indication even after refilling?

Certain printers remember when a cartridge is placed into the printer. Unless a different cartridge is loaded, the printer will always remember the old ink level no matter how many times you unload and reload your cartridge into the printer.

This does not affect the quality nor the functionality of your cartridge or the printer. Your cartridge will continue to print normally even if you see the "low ink level" error.

In any case, the heavier weight of the cartridge after refilling will indicate that it is not empty.

3. What is the difference between standard dye-based ink and pigmented ink?

  1. Dye-based ink - less water-resistant, less fade-resistant
  2. Pigmented ink - more water-resistant, more fade-resistant

Inké systems use pigmented ink for optimal print quality.

4. Will inkjet ink react to extreme temperatures?

Yes. Extreme temperature changes will cause chemical reactions, which can affect the ink.

5. Why should I refill my inkjet cartridge?

Through refilling, you can take advantage of the extended life of the printhead.

Refilling means recycling your inkjet cartridge, which means less waste for the environment

You also save from buying a new, original cartridge. See the Savings section to learn how much money you can save each year by refilling with Inké..

6. How many times can I refill my original cartridge?

You should be able to refill your original cartridge approximately 5-8 times depending on how well you maintain it.

7. After refilling, why does my cartridge indicator still show that it is not full?

HP 40 and HP 45 cartridges use a green indicator on the side to indicate how much ink remains. This green indicator moves out of view when the cartridge is empty and may not reappear after refilling. This is due to the way that the indicator is made. However, you can tell that the cartridge is not empty by its weight. After refilling, the cartridge will be noticeably heavier than when it was empty.
